In Memory of Aspen July 7, 1997 - November 24,2010

November 24th 2010.
We will miss our little girl Aspen. (Daddy's little "Sparky".) May she find love and peace and happiness with her sister Kiana. In our Hearts forever, our girls. Love, MOM

Our Snow Dogs! They were in heaven in the snow.

Aspen and Kiana would hang out at the top of the driveway just in case they could get a good look at a neighboring Fox. And in a blink of an eye they were gone chasing any animal that would move.

The girls really got into opening presents too.

Aspen loved Christmas and her bones when she was younger.

Aspen loved her car rides. And when she stopped getting into the car, we knew she was not herself anymore.

The girls were always checking to see what I was making in the kitchen. Litter mates they were, yet so different. They didn't share their food.

Aspen shared the bed with her sister when they were younger and could jump up on the bed.

The girls did everything together. They even had frosty paws together.

So on November 24th we said good bye to our baby Aspen, so she could be in heaven with her sister Kiana.

Aspen was 13 yrs old. And she lost her sister Kiana the month before. She missed her and looked for her in every corner of the house. She had trouble getting around and she had trouble recognizing us sometimes too.

Kiana was on vacation in Wisconsin.

This is one of Kiana's favorite poses.

This is Kiana's kitchen. Are you hungry?

Meeting Noah for the first time.

We were in Bellingham, WA this past week. It was a terrific experience. Trevor and Amanda have a lovely home. But most of all, they have a wonderful family. I am so proud of them and how well they work together with Noah. He is one lucky little boy. I must say, Noah has us wrapped around his little finger too. I was terribly hard to leave them and the beautiful location they live in. I guess we'll have to start planning another trip this summer to celebrate Noah's first birthday.

Summertime!

Matt is out on his Harley now. He is at the visitor's center on top of Trail Ridge Road, in the Rocky Mt. National Park. Also T-ball has begun for Rylan. Doesn't he look like a natural?

Springtime!

Springtime has been eventful around here. While Matt was working, Erin and Rylan and I took a trip to see Amanda and Trevor. It was a wonderful visit just before Easter. Their flowers were in bloom and it was quite refreshing after our snowy spring. Of course, when we got home the Easter bunny had surprises hidden all over the house. So Rylan helped find the eggs and treats.
School has past so quickly, it is hard to believe that Rylan is going to be in kindergarten next year. Is there anyway that we can slow down summer? Tomorrow is the last day of school!
We hope everyone has a wonderful summer, and if you are in the neighborhood come see us in Estes Park.
